Wood burning isn’t as intimidating as it sounds. It’s actually quite fun! It doesn’t require expensive equipment to get started. We have a decent wood burner from one of the local hobby stores that came with a nice selection of tips. For this project, we chose our 12″ x 8″ Long Grain 1/16″ Walnut Wood Panel but any of our species would work. View: 1/16″ Wood Panels and 1/8″ Wood Panels. You can wood burn on our Wood Back .025″ Thick Wood Paper Sheets but it does take a lighter hand. If you do want to burn a circle or shape entirely through the wood sheet, that can be accomplished easily with this thickness. We used the Flow and the Shading tips on this piece. We began with drawing a circle lightly in pencil as a guide and just went free hand with our design from there. After the wood burning was complete, we glued on a Laser Cut Blessed sign for 3D effect.
