Real Wood Paper Thickness Options
Fleece (.010″) thick is a very thin, sheer, flexible backing appropriate for dollhouse enthusiasts, candle wraps, lamp shades…anything where flexibility and luminosity is a must.
Paper (.016″) thick is slightly thicker than fleece. The paper has a texture and is excellent at adhering to other backing materials such as card stock and adhesives. Some use this as wedding invitations and adhere it to another card stock.
Wood (.025″) thick is very strong and sturdy yet still has the flexibility to run through laser printers. There is wood on both sides which is perfect for announcements, invitations, programs and more.
Real Wood Paper Specie Options
We offer Real Wood Paper in 6 different species: Aspen, Birch, Cherry, Maple, Walnut and White Pine. Each specie is displays its own unique characteristics and color variations. No two sheets are alike.
Please note that sheet characteristics and color will differ slightly from photographs shown here.
Real Wood Paper Grain Direction Options
We offer Real Wood Paper in 2 different grain directions, Short Grain and Long Grain.
- Short Grain has the wood grain going in the direction of the shorter paper size.
- Long Grain has the wood grain going in the direction of the longer paper size.
Short Grain is what works best in most printers for most projects. The wood sheets bend easier when going with the grain than against the grain. Wood sheets are very stiff and will not curl when going against the grain. If you are unsure of which grain direction will work best for your project, we recommend ordering samples for testing to ensure you end up with the perfect product for your project.
