The incredibly talented Canadian Miniaturist, Roxanne Brathwaite, created a stunning mini “zebra” chair using our Ebony Long Grain Wood Sheets. While this chair may be mini, it is nothing but grand in our eyes. Roxanne used Ebony but she was getting Zebra vibes while making her chair to go along with her snake satchel. Sometimes you just gotta go with the vibes. 😍 Roxanne told us the chair pieces were cut with a laser cutter and the Ebony wood paper was applied to both sides and contoured to shape.

Wood Panels for Laser Cutting & Engraving

Real Wood Paper offers sustainably harvested real wood veneer panels that come 1/16″ thick and 1/8″ thick that can be cut and engraved with lasers with excellent results. Our highly versatile panels are available in Birch, Cherry and Maple. Real wood veneer panels are frequently used as a material for model making, personalized gifts, crafts and hobbies. Our real wood veneer panels have thin sheets of real wood on both sides with a solid core center material for strength and rigidity.

Real wood veneer panels can also be laser cut outlined and laser engraved with beautiful success.

Note: A 60W CO2 laser was used for this project.

Rustic, wood themed weddings are so popular now. How do you set your Save The Date cards and Wedding Invitations above all the rest? With high quality real wood veneer that can be laser engraved! Yes, we said that! Take any of our 5″ x 7″ .025″ thick Wood Back sheets, either Short Grain or Long Grain to a pyrography artist for wood burning or to a laser engraver and let them loose! If you are creative, you can purchase a pyrography pen and create them yourself! It just takes a little practice and time but you can do it! If you have a laser engraving machine, that’s no problem at all either!

In the sample above, we used our Cherry Wood .025″ thick Wood Backed Long Grain sheets.
