The beautiful young lady that runs Genesis Organics Co, a local natural soap, salve, scrub, etc business had a special project that needed a unique soap wrap. Our Aspen .o1o” thick Fleece Backed Long Grain Real Wood Paper fit the ticket.

She was able to yield 4 soap wraps per 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Aspen. You could yield 5 or more per sheet if you went with a lower profile label.

You asked and we have tested a few printers for you! While we are not in the printing business and cannot possibly test every inkjet printer and laser printer on the market, we know our customers want to know what printers will print on Real Wood Paper.

We recommend for our DIY Customers that using a straight through feed laser printer is the best option. We have noticed that it is getting increasingly more difficult to find laser printers with a straight through feed here in the USA. For that reason, we have tested a couple of reasonably priced home and/or office printers that you can have success DIY Printing on Wood.

You will notice in our printed samples below that all are printed on our Short Grain 8.5″ x 11″ Real Wood Paper sheets. Why Short Grain and not Long Grain? The wood paper is more flexible when bent with the grain so with that said, short grain allows the wood paper to bend around the rollers inside of the printers easier than long grain can.

We used our .016" thick Paper Back sheets in Cherry and Walnut, but you could certainly use our .010" thick Fleece Back sheets as well! A dear artist friend had a lot of embroidery hoops

A dear artist friend had a lot of embroidery hoops left over from a art class project. While brainstorming on how to repurpose the leftover hoops, she came up with making wood tambourines. Using our .025" thick Maple wood back sheets, cut a circle to fit the hoop perfectly, and glued together using a glue gun. Spring is in the air and butterflies will be returning soon! These gorgeous wooden butterflies were created as wall decor measuring approx. 8" x 11" with our .010" thin fleece backed sheets.
