• What is Real Wood Veneer Paper?

  Real Wood Veneer Paper is real wood sliced from real trees. It is sliced thin and then a backing material is added for stability and flexibility.
  Depending on the project, it’s available with fleece, paper, sticker/adhesive, or wood backing to provide strength while still bending and cutting like traditional paper.

• What’s the Difference Between Backing Materials?

  Real Wood Paper is available in multiple backing and thickness options to suit a wide variety of projects.
  Below is a quick overview of each type. For detailed specs, printing tips, and usage recommendations, please visit our FAQ Page.    

  1. Fleece (Vellum) Backed (.010″)
     Ultra-thin, sheer, and flexible (similar to vellum). Ideal for delicate projects like candle wraps, lamp shades, dollhouse décor, and envelope liners.
  2. Adhesive Backed (.013″)
     A peel-and-stick option with medium tack adhesive. Great for quick application to paper, wood, or craft surfaces. No glue required.
  3. Paper Backed (.016″)
     Our most versatile option. Slightly thicker with a paper backing that supports printing, cutting, and gluing. Popular for layering designs.
  4. Wood Backed (.025″)
     Wood on both sides for a premium, natural look. Sturdy yet flexible enough for laser printers (with straight-feed). Great for menus, programs, or keepsake pieces.
  5. Wood Veneer Panels (1/16″ & 1/8″)
     Rigid sheets for laser cutting and engraving, wood burning, or painting. Available in two thicknesses (1/16″ and 1/8″) and perfect for signs, art, and detailed wood projects.

  We offer Real Wood Paper in a range of beautiful natural species.
  Choose from 6 standard wood types like Aspen, Birch, Cherry, Maple, Walnut and White Pine; as well as a beautiful selection of exotic and variegated species for truly unique projects.

• Can I Print on Real Wood Paper with a Home Printer?

  Yes, you can print on Real Wood Paper at home!
  For best results, we recommend using a laser printer with a straight-through feed. While these printers are harder to find in the U.S., we’ve tested several affordable models that work well with our sheets.
