Using this FREE SVG Gift Tag file, we determined the perfect size we needed with the tag by figuring out the longest name on our list and adjusted the size of the tag in Design Space to fit the name on the tag. Our tags final size is 2.5″ x 4″. We lined up a dozen tags, 4 across and 3 rows, to be cut from our 11″ x 17″ Maple Long Grain Wood Back Sheet. We could have easily gotten another row of tags for a total of 16 tags from one 11″ x 17″ sheet of wood paper. While we do have many species available including several gorgeous exotics and ornate woods, Maple matched our stockings the best which was the look we were going for with this project.Â

We made our names using the Alex Brush font and cut them out of Cricut Premium Vinyl Permanent Glossy Dark Red. After applying the vinyl to our wood tags, we added a hanging string using Natural Jute Cord.

We attached the Maple Wood Christmas Stocking Tags to our stockings. With some gorgeous ribbon, attached all the stockings to our greenery adorned handrail.Â
